took dad out with me yesterday morning we launched at the fishery ran straight across to the river and anchored up and started fishing after about 9 shakers landed to the boat we decided to move and for the last time this year and maybe for the last time in it's life time my big motor failed to start. so i pulled anchor by hand and fired up the little motor and moved out of the current, yes big time current as they had the spillways open at the dam. had to move from fishing with 6 - 8 oz lead to fishing with 16 - 20 oz. but hey we had fun.
seen 4 keepers on my way out every one was reporting slower than normal action. i figured there would be alot of salmon fishing going on but i seen absolutly noone with a salmon rig in the water.
